Cougar dating is the when a mature, sophisticated women prefers to date and be in the company of a younger man. Normally cougars are women in their 40's,50's and 60's, but the trend is becoming so hot that 30 something cougars are on the rise.

We constantly see women in their 40's,50's and sixties looking totally hot and desirable than they were when they were in their twenties. Why, basically their more aware of their beauty,their bodies and what they want in life that gives them an irressistable level of confidence.

There was a time when young women were encouraged to date and marry older men as these men were thought to be more mature, secure and more stable. That all may still be true, but having fun was never an option for these women. After years succumbing to societies taboo's, it was Hollywood celebrities which started to really bring cougar dating into the national eye.

Many of these women who were subjective to what society wanted them to be, where people of contributing importance. Years ago, television and movies depicted women to be housewives, working in the kitchen and having and taking care of the children, which was true, but also shunned and was unaccepting for anything outside of this role. This made women looked at as "lesser" of a person to others.

Today, those women are fed up and tired of what the old society said. They've rejuvenated today's world with top entertainers, television and movie stars, politicians and people of power. Combine this total gender movement, along with the fact that these women are smarter and taking better themselves now than ever, creates the perfect candidate for becoming a cougar!

These women are strong yet sensitive, caring yet stern and successful yet humble. These attributes in the old days usually depicted the attributes of a man. They have learned from prior relationships how to find their ways in difficult situations which makes them much more independent than their counter-parts 20 to 30 years ago. This is how cougars developed themselves to be more dominant and aggressive in certain aspects of their lives.

In conclusion, cougar dating is much more widespread and more accepting in today's society because we see it as a part of life. When you have famous people like Hollywood celebs doing it, than the people that admired them through their acting will start eventually doing also. People of the old fashion attitude, will just have to deal with it as the situations arises.
