Be careful if someone you're dating says they are not a kid person. Your child or children are really important to you and you do not like to come in a situation where you have to opt between your family life and your social life. It would be perfect you want to be with someone with whom you can involve in your romantic life and your part as a parent as well.
People are single parents due to being divorced, widowed or never having been married. Undissolved issues and baggage can be from any of the above situations. The most crucial thing you can do for yourself is to get a direction to go on from past times. This not only will better your dating life, but also your family life with your kids as they pick up on bitterness, resentments, anger and underlying anxiety you hold inside of you.
Expect to be a little unquiet if you're just going back into the game on dating for parents. You may feel guilt, insecurity and other sentiments. These are natural. Have in mind that you need a social outlet and time with another people your own age. Don't just look on dating sites specialized on dating for parents as a spot to meet another people, but also look around at the sports activities your kids are involved in as well as school activities. When two people already share basics in the same world, this makes a really nice connection.
